Description
The activities of the Research Incubator in Macroeconomics can be categorized into three key pillars:
- Teaching: Participants will explore advanced topics in macroeconomic literature beyond standard courses, with a focus on Heterogeneous-Agents Macroeconomic Models. This covers theoretical foundations and computational implementation, including classic papers such as Huggett (1993), Aiyagari (1994), and Krusell & Smith (1998), plus contemporary research on household and firm decision-making.
- Advising: Participants present thesis progress two or three times per semester, receive constructive peer feedback, and complete specific tasks between sessions to ensure continuous and timely guidance.
- Research: Each participant collaborates on at least one research project within the incubator, applying economic, econometric, and computational tools in a collaborative setting.
This structure aims to foster both academic growth and collaborative research within the incubator.
Goals of the research incubator
- Acquire a deeper understanding of macroeconomic literature and analytical/computational tools.
- Provide ongoing guidance and feedback on participants’ thesis projects.
- Engage in collaborative research projects.
Research lines of the incubator
