Description:
The Finance Student Research Group seeks to foster critical, analytical, and rigorous thinking on financial topics. Its purpose is to consolidate an academic community interested in understanding and solving real-life financial problems through quantitative methodologies, modeling, and data analysis, contributing to a research culture within the Faculty. The Seminar will have the Universidad del Rosario Investment Club as its central hub, channeling the Seminar's academic and practical activities, facilitating the connection between financial theory and its application in real-life contexts. In this way, it is hoped to strengthen the comprehensive training of students, encourage academic production, and stimulate participation in high-level research forums.
Objectives:
- 1) Stimulate the development of financial research skills through teamwork and faculty mentoring.
- 2) Channel research activities through the Investment Club, which will serve as a space for integrating practice and theory.
- 3) Conduct outreach activities, promote social outreach, and apply knowledge in the area of finance.
- 4) Encourage the production of periodic reports and critical analysis on financial topics.
- 5) Promote participation in national and international academic events and calls for proposals.
- 6) Facilitate the learning of quantitative analysis tools and specialized software such as Excel, Python, or R.
