Research Incubator: cognitive ecology

Organization profile

Organization profile

The hotbed allows a scenario of theoretical and practical training for students who wish to participate in the group's projects. Given the broad vision of cognitive ecology, this theoretical training is useful for students of biology (conservation, behavior, cognition and evolution), medicine (neurobiology and psychiatry), economics (neuroeconomics), engineering (bioengineering), and cognitive and comparative psychology. We study how animals acquire, store, process and use information to make decisions and the consequences of those decisions, especially in insects. We use tools from neuropharmacology, sensory allometry, bioinformatics and biophysics.

Motivate students to explore the foundations and applications of Cognitive Ecology from theory and practice.
