OBJECTIVE:
To motivate students to explore from theory and practice the fundamentals and applications of Cognitive Ecology.
DESCRIPTION:
All daily activities of animals (human and non-human) require the use of information to support decision making. Within the CANNON research group, the line of cognitive ecology seeks to understand the dynamics associated with the use of information. In this way, the seedbed provides a scenario for theoretical and practical training for students who wish to participate in the group's projects. Given the broad vision of cognitive ecology, this theoretical training is useful for students of biology (conservation, behavior, cognition and evolution), medicine (neurobiology and psychiatry), economics (neuroeconomics), engineering (bioengineering) and cognitive and comparative psychology.
