The Semillero de Semillero Ingeniería aplica y ciencias de espacio is an inspiring and exciting space, open to the entire community of Universidad del Rosario. Our mission is to awaken the spark of creativity and innovation in students, teachers, staff and researchers, encouraging them to explore and apply the principles of the STEAM methodology (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics) to solve social challenges.
We pride ourselves on being a community of restless and curious minds, united by the desire to make the world a better place through the application of engineering and space sciences from any branch of knowledge. We firmly believe that the most impactful solutions arise when we combine technical knowledge with creative approaches.
By uniting our innovation skills, we are constantly looking for opportunities to make a significant difference in diverse communities. We want to create a positive impact that transcends borders and reaches those who need it most.
Our incubator is more than a place of learning. It is a "Maker" space where every idea, every project and every prototype is welcome. Here, we not only encourage theory, but also practice and reflection. We believe that true learning comes from direct experience and critical analysis.
Objectives:
- Develop strategies to impact communities through space exploration technologies.
- Stimulate creativity and the development of technical skills in the research and development of innovative aerospace technologies that can benefit communities.
- Encourage the development of practical skills in design, programming, design thinking applied to space exploration.
- Provide tools to use space exploration technologies to address local challenges.
- Conduct training for the construction of a robotic platform inspired by space vehicles.
- Provide training in the fundamentals of space mechanics.
- Encourage research and development in the field of applied engineering and space sciences.
- Promote the use of advanced technologies and STEAM methodologies to solve current and future problems.
Lines of Research:
- Space Sciences: Exploration and study of space phenomena and their application in terrestrial technologies.
- Space Robotics: Development of robotic systems for space missions and their adaptation to terrestrial tasks.
- Innovation in STEAM Education: Creation and improvement of educational methods that integrate science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics.
