Research Incubator: Additive Manufacturing

Description:

The main focus of the workshop is the theoretical study of the different technologies belonging to additive manufacturing, complemented by practical sessions for familiarization with the different 3D printing equipment. The workshop promotes academic research and production, seeking to generate innovation and optimization processes; as well as the creation of different social projects seeking to solve different needs at a social and industrial level.

Objectives:

1. Develop skills for research into the different processes, techniques, materials and applications of additive manufacturing.
2. Generate optimization processes for the different 3D printing processes (printing speed, surface finish, mechanical and electrical properties of 3D printed structures).
3. Research and develop different processes for the manufacture of recycled filament.
4. Manufacture different mechanisms, artistic pieces and functional pieces, applying different 3D modeling and printing techniques.
