Description: Work plan: Generate a research group that allows the interaction of university and clinical academic actors in institutions providing health services for the articulation of basic and clinical research, generating new knowledge in the area of Malignant Hematology and Oncology that provides information that leads to improving the understanding of these pathologies and the prognosis of patients, the work plan will be managed through the following key points: 1. Achieve recognition and visibility within the national system of science, technology and innovation. 2. Strengthen joint work with the Universidad del Rosario. 3. Consolidate the lines of research in the areas of specific interest of the group. 4. Stimulate the production of high-quality scientific literature by members of the research group. Short term objectives: • Associate a group of clinicians and experts in basic sciences to generate a space for the development of translational research in cancer. • Generate institutional databases on high-frequency Hematoncological pathologies in the Cardio-infantil Foundation. • Strengthen collaboration in research through the alliance between the Cardio-infantil Foundation and the Universidad del Rosario. • Achieve recognition and visibility of the research group in the national science, technology and innovation system. • Long-term goals: • Develop and execute projects focused on translational research and inter-institutional collaboration. • Promote the description of the demographic, clinical and biological characteristics of Hematoncological pathologies in the country, focused on the lines of research developed by the group through multicenter studies. • Disseminate the group's research findings in national and international academic and scientific settings. • Generate spaces for interaction with health professionals at different levels of training through research incubators and young researchers programs, promoting their participation in projects generated by the group. • Lines of investigation: • Breast cancer • Demographics and Cancer Clinic • Acute lymphoblastic leukemia
