Research Incubator: Clinical and Hospital Engineering (SICLIC)

Organization profile

Organization profile

Mission:

To contribute to the training of students in research competencies, through the development of academic activities that strengthen the theoretical and practical skills necessary to actively interact, through research projects, with the national and international environment, in the area of Hospital Clinical Engineering.

Vision:

The SICLIC Clinical Engineering Research Seedbed is designed as a space for dissemination and scientific dialogue, to acquire skills in engineering solutions in the health sector, by generating extension and research projects that its members produce, providing scientific knowledge in research methodology, experimental designs supported by statistical methods in the area of health technology management.

Research Lines: The SICLIC, is a joint seedbed between the University of Rosario and the Colombian School of Engineering Julio Garavito and has as an area of work Clinical and Hospital Engineering, which involves management of biomedical technology, management of hospital clinical maintenance, hospital infrastructure, logistics and hospital administration.

Objectives:

General: Create a space for research culture among the members of the "SICLIC" clinical engineering research seedbed in order to train researchers interested in the management of health technologies.

Specific:

  1. Strengthen in the students of the nursery, the investigative skills in the management of health technologies.
  2. Encourage the design of research projects by developing clear methodologies.
  3. To support the participation of students in research projects.
  4. To encourage the participation of students in scientific outreach activities.
  5. Know the methods of management technologies in health and operations research for the optimization of processes under health care scenarios.
  6. Accompany the students of the nursery who are carrying out a project directed in the area of clinical and hospital engineering, as a degree option.
