Objective: To investigate the concepts of citizenship, endogenous development and territory with the aim of carrying out sustainable projects of social transformation through participation, political control, strengthening of social capital, defense of territory and the construction of basic public policy.

Profile of the seedbed: The seedbed has a much more practical emphasis, although we clearly reviewed the literature in order to dialogue with the empirical evidence we have. We are also working on different mechanisms for disseminating knowledge and the experiences we have in dialogues with the community.

The seedbed has several areas of work, among which are

1) citizen monitoring exercises through the Citizen Observatories, especially in La Candelaria

2) environmental claims against asbestos in Sibaté

3) defense of human rights, through a school of and for social leaders,

4) analysis of urban development challenges from the concept of the right to the city, based on the Lagos de Torca project

5) community processes such as vegetable gardens, among others

Work methodology: Each axis of work has direct approaches to the community and puts in dialogue the empirical evidence with conceptual categories.
