Description:

Through rectoral decree No. 1389 (November 18, 2015), recognition as a research center was granted, attached to the EMCS of the Universidad el Rosario; CIGGUR which is constituted as an interdisciplinary team with the objective of researching mainly in the areas of functional genomics of complex pathologies, genomic pharmaco-genetics, clinical diagnosis and recessive pathologies and epidenetics.

Objectives:

  1. Promote the development and scientific progress of researchers in these areas through responsible training.
  1. Provide humanistic benefit to the community and national and international society with the results of research in Human and Medical Genetics.
  1. Promote the participation of CIGGUR in agreements, associations and strategic alliances with national and international peer groups and centers, in order to consolidate the positioning of the Center and generate visibility of the University's contribution in the study of topics of interest in Human and Medical Genetics
  1. Plan, coordinate and control the teaching, research and extension activities carried out at CIGGUR.
  1. Participate in the creation and updating of the undergraduate and graduate academic offerings of the School of Medicine and Health Sciences on topics related to Human and Medical Genetics.
